Burns started her career in television in 1995 portraying the supporting character Peg of the spanish-language teen comedy Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Burns made her debut on television in 1995 when she was a part of the cast for the Spanish-American Teen sitcom, Out of the Blue (1995-1996). In the following years, she was a part of Baywatch: Hawaii, the follow-up to the Baywatch action drama. Burns left Baywatch due to the first pregnancy she had.
